Dear Parents,

After a fun filled vacation we earnestly welcome the academic year 2023-24. I am delighted to extend my warmest greetings to each and every one of you as we embark on another exciting and promising journey together.

Education is not about acquiring knowledge. It is about developing character. At Sophia we believe in nurturing young minds, fostering a love for learning and providing a supportive and inclusive opportunity whereby every student can achieve their goal. Our dedicated faculty and staff are committed to creating an enriching educational environment that empowers students to reach their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally. We focus on instilling values that will guide our students to become responsible global citizens.

Children are not things to be molded but are people to be unfolded says Jee Lair. The potential of a child is like a huge ocean unsailed, a new continent unexplored, a world of possibilities waiting to be released and channeled towards greater good. As we move forward into the new academic year, we are committed to maintaining a strong focus on academic excellence while embracing innovation and adapting to the changing needs of our students. Our curriculum is designed to provide an all-round education blending core subjects with opportunities for artistic expression, physical fitness, critical thinking and inspirational motivation.

Imagine you are in a race, and you fall behind at the start. Will you give up or keep running with determination. Life is a marathon, not a sprint. It’s not always about how fast you start, but how you persevere and finish strong. Our commitment at Sophia is to nurture not just academic brilliance, but also emotional intelligence, empowering our students to lead with moral values like empathy, kindness and compassion.

"Once, a student asked a wise elder, 'What is the key to success?' The elder replied, 'There is no singular key, but a combination of hard work, discipline, and perseverance that will unlock many doors.' Work hard, stay focused, and let success be the outcome of your efforts." I wish and pray that may this year be a transformative journey for all of you.
